SOCIAL CHANGE AND WOMEN IN THE POLISH ARMY. SELECTED SOCIOLOGICAL ASPECTS

The turn of the century showed that the uniformed public services are permanent segments of the population gaining its livelihood by com-manding, hierarchy, discipline, drill, and greatly reduced family life and personal life to perform inner and external group roles, that is, the segment social roles, essentially different from the roles of groups within civil society.
The work in systems of contemporary availability is often popularly referred to as the service and requires the sacrifice of life, therefore, it was and is remunerated in both totalitarianism and democracy, but in democracy through the contemporary labour market. Thus the un-iformed public services are soldiers, policemen, firemen, etc. who keep the right kind of availability, public order and if necessary, in accor-dance with the orders of the government, carry out its instructions. They protect production, operational, economic and natural processes, and protect the appropriate infrastructural facilities which task is to prevent a disaster and if this happens removing its effects (Zagórski 2006).
