PEDAGOGY OF INTEGRATION AND A MANY-SIDED PROBLEM OF LONELINESS

A many-sided problem of loneliness is a challenging issue for the pedagogy of integration. Frequently, it is a reason, a result or a symptom of social exclusion. The goal of this article is to analyze and describe different kinds of loneliness and reasons of it so as to note some pedagogical postulates on counteracting of negative kinds of loneliness in the last part of the article. In the article I use phenomenological and hermeneutic method to analyze the phenomenon of loneliness with the aid of selected literature on the subject. On the basis of this analysis it may be stated that loneliness has both a negative and a positive aspect. Pedagogical work should help a person with a loneliness syndrome change their loneliness into a creative kind of loneliness, enabling a person to form authentic relations with oneself and with others. Pedagogical love, active participation and mastery of a pedagogue help the pupil cope with a loneliness syndrome.
