RELATIONS BETWEEN CAPITALS: SOCIAL, FAMILY AND GROUPS OF MIGRANTS

The role of social capital increases and has a direct impact on the quality of life of individuals, groups and the society in the modern world. It is a part of the intellectual capital being seen as a basis and a determinant of the high rate of growth, and thus, shortening the development distance to the reference countries. The basis of modern society is high social capital which is the groundwork of its development. The aim of the article is to introduce the concept of social capital and to determine its effect on the unemployment and migration rate in the country. The first part of the article presents the concept of social capital. In the second part we can find the model and the results of the measurement of social capital in the years 2000-2009 in selected countries. The third part describes the impact of social capital on social relations. In this article the author examines social capital as a whole at the macroeconomic level, without the extensive analysis of its social structure (Lin 2001, p. 33). The adopted research method was the critical analysis of literature (of source materials) and research on the author’s own model of measuring social capital.
